Tonight, I made two new syrups for Blinking Owl tomorrow and saturday. I made bourbon vanilla brown sugar and strawberry. The flavors aren't anything crazy, I just worked with what I had at home. I used an alcohol-free extract I got from Trader Joe's for the vanilla syrup, highly recommend. Whenever I make new batches I like to try and have a typical flavor people pair with coffee and a more 'unique' flavor folks wouldn't think to put in their lattes. I usually always throw in some fruity flavor if I make myself a flavored drink, otherwise I tend to have it straight up. I think for my next batch I'm going to make blackberry rose and maybe some vegan caramel.

This is my first entry on this page! Thank you for stopping by and checking out my website! I just wanted to briefly talk about and explain my pop-up cafe :). I currently have a very small-scale set-up and I would love to make upgrades in the future (or even score a physical storefront!). But for right now, I do what I can with what I have. You don't need the fanciest or most expensive equipment to make a good cup of coffee. It's about the beans, and about ingredients that go into a flavored drink (and love and purity of your heart). I like to make my syrups from scratch- equal parts water and sugar boiled to make simple syrup, then, add whatever will make the flavor you desire: vanilla extract, strawberries, cinnamon, food grade rose petals, etc etc. It tastes better and more natural than factory produced syrups, and you know exactly what the ingredients are if you also get paranoid about the term "natural flavors." For beans, I'm always trying new brands so I do not have a specific recommendation but I will always recommend checking out your local roasters. I don't have much else to talk about currently.
